Tengo s\u00edndrome de Marfan. Particip\u00e9 en las actividades de la ABSM y fund\u00e9 esta asociaci\u00f3n con otros directores. Me interesa especialmente el F101G por la esperanza que nos da en t\u00e9rminos de investigaci\u00f3n fundamental.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>2. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 apoya el Proyecto Marfan de 101 Genomas?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Porque hay un problema importante en Marfan, que es la variabilidad de expresi\u00f3n de la enfermedad. Esto sigue siendo una verdadera inc\u00f3gnita para nosotros: por qu\u00e9 algunas personas est\u00e1n m\u00e1s afectadas por el s\u00edndrome y por qu\u00e9 otras lo est\u00e1n menos. Veo la investigaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica fundamental como una forma de dar respuesta a la cuesti\u00f3n de la variaci\u00f3n en la expresi\u00f3n de las enfermedades.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3. Como afectado por el s\u00edndrome de Marfan, \u00bfqu\u00e9 espera del Proyecto 101 Genomas?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tengo dos esperanzas&nbsp;A nivel personal, para averiguar si esto podr\u00eda ayudar a las personas que me siguen a perfeccionar sus estrategias de atenci\u00f3n a largo plazo, pero tambi\u00e9n, de forma m\u00e1s general, en relaci\u00f3n con otras personas con enfermedad de Marfan, para poder, por ejemplo, si yo mismo tomara parte en la muestra de prueba, ayudar a comprender mejor la enfermedad y ayudarles a recibir una atenci\u00f3n m\u00e1s adecuada, m\u00e1s espec\u00edfica.
